Take a bite of this...

"We have been bought with a price," said the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul to the Corinthians. Today - this very morning - I have finally realized the gravity of that. Please, allow me to elaborate.

When humanity was created as the pinnacle - the piece de resistance - of all Creation, they were given dominion and authority on the earth. When Adam and Eve took part in the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (I personally don't think it was an apple - how tempting is that, really?), they gave dominion and authority of the earth to Satan. Oops.

So, what's a humanity gonna do now? Fight for what was once rightfully theirs, yet was so quickly given away to pure evil by their own choices? Uh, I think not. How could they?

No indeed - Adam and Eve were entirely at the mercy of the loving God who had created them and delegated the authority to them. How could they take back what they had been given when they themselves gave it away and lost the glory covering they were created with? Hmm. Quite the predicament indeed.

So, what did the holy, awesome, majestic and entirely powerful God of the universe do for these two puny little humans? Promise them a Seed that would have His heel bitten, but would crush the serpent's head. BOO YAH! Victory at last. How did this play out? Let us review:

God created Adam and Eve. God gave Adam and Eve authority. Adam and Eve gave it away for a piece of fruit. God left it that way. Uh... no. GOD CAME AND PAID FOR THEIR ROYAL MESS-UP! With what? With EVERYTHING. With HIS BLOOD.

So now that humanity is redeemed, we share in everything that is God's, because He cut a covenant with His own blood in order to restore us and save us from pure evil himself. Not only are we saved, but we have authority once again.

So what do we see here? It's been God all along! He gave, we gave it away, and He restored in order to give it to us again. Say whaaa? Yes. Our God, really is, an indescribable God.

A to the men.
