Suck It Up Or Do Something About It!
So I learnt another lesson today... the title of this post may have already given you a hint. No? No guesses? Well, here it comes... you ready??
If you are in a situation you don't like and you can do something about it, either suck it up or do something. If you're not satisfied with where you're at with Jesus? Suck it up or do something about it. The people around you are gossiping about your friends and you don't like it? Suck it up or do something about it.
Basically I'm learning to be the change I want to see. If I don't do something to change something I don't like, I have to just suck it up, grin, and bear it - because if I don't step up I can't complain! No, this isn't necessarily a biblical truth, but it is something that I want to start living by. If you want a bowl of ice cream but you don't have any in the house, either suck it up or go out and buy some! Yes, there may be consequences of your action or unexpected things you have to encounter because you chose to act, but there are always repercussions on both sides - action AND inaction.
So there you go - just a little tidbit into what I learned tonight? Boom.
