A Tree Planted By Streams of Water...

This is something God spoke to me this morning while I spent time in His Presence. May He speak to you through it as well, and may you be blessed and encouraged by it!

No wonder the psalmists sometimes referred to trees* when speaking about devout God-lovers – the more you reach up to the Sun, the more vulnerable you will be. However, the higher you reach, the deeper your roots, and the harder it is for someone to take you down or for a storm to knock you over. Being a Christ-follower is hard stuff! Yet the further you go, the deeper (and/or higher) you press in, the more of an influence you can be. Tiny little birds cannot make their nest in flimsy little saplings, but even eagles can make a large, strong tree their home. The incredible thing about trees, though, is that they’re completely dependant – upon the soil for nutrients, the rain for much needed moisture, and the sun to initiate all growth. Hmmm... there are three parts to God, too. Go figure... J
